Terms of Service

What this is

VCE Hub is a set of study tools for Victorian VCE students: a study design tracker, a study score calculator, a test maker, subject guides, and an essay writer. Most of it is free. The essay writer is a paid subscription — it is the one tool that costs us money every time it runs.

Accounts

You need an account for anything saved to your name — chosen subjects, tracker progress, essay generation. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be 13 or older to create one.

The subscription

The essay writer runs on a monthly subscription with a monthly generation allowance. The price is shown at checkout. GST is not applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.

If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to subscribe, and checkout asks you to confirm you have it.

Cancel any time from your account — access runs to the end of the period you paid for. If the first two weeks aren't what you expected, email us within 14 days of first subscribing and we'll refund it. No form, no questions.

Generated essays

Generated essays are study aids: models to read, argue with, and learn structure from. Submitting one as your own work is academic misconduct under VCAA rules, and that outcome is yours, not ours. Use them the way you'd use a tutor's sample essay.

Fair use

Don't probe, scrape, resell, or share accounts. The generation allowance is per account and not transferable. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service or attempt to work around its limits.

The service

We aim to keep everything up and accurate, and we publish what the tools can and can't do. But the service is provided as is: study designs change, models err, and servers have bad days. Check anything that matters against the official VCAA materials.
